Car shampoos with a high acidic content may damage the coating and limit its life. You should also ensure that your wash mitt and microfiber towels are clean and free of contaminants. To keep the warranty (if any) valid, most ceramic coating companies will need the owner to return for a yearly inspection and maintenance.
